Cant remember recipe for something with pieces of cake some type of liquor. ugh help?

I am finally making my daughters princess cake and cut out 12 half circles where the towers are going. I remember something with cake pieces some liqour ( i have rum) but I dont remember how much and what else anyone have a clue?

P.S.

This would be for the adults of course not the 4 year olds. had to say it before someone answered with a dumb remark.Cant remember recipe for something with pieces of cake some type of liquor. ugh help?
Trifle. Millions of ways to make it, tiramisu is kinda like it too.

You need a trifle bowl, or parfait glasses.

Make a batch of pudding, I like it to be vanilla. You take chunks of pound cake and dip it in some dark rum and I like to also add a little pinneapple juice to the rum. Then in Scotland we use raspberry preserves.

You take the cake and dip in the rum mixture and then swipe it through the raspberry. You make a layer of pudding in the bottom of the trifle bowl and then place the cake in there, making it look pretty on the outside of the glass. Then more pudding, more cake, etc. it can be done with a myriad of different things, but what you are looking for is trifle. ';A trifle of this, a trifle of that';.

It sounds like trifle or tiramisu. However, both use a different kind of cake from what the typical ';birthday cake'; is.
