Ho ho cake recipe!?

i need a ho ho cake recipe made from scratch that doesnt call for baking SQUARES!Ho ho cake recipe!?
Devil's Food Cake


Yield: 12 servings.





Ingredients


2 cups (400 g) sugar


陆 cup + 2 tablespoons (150 g) butter, softened


2 eggs


2 cups (270 g) all-purpose flour


6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder


1 teaspoons baking powder


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


1 cup espresso or very strong coffee (liquid)








Method





1. Preheat oven to 350 deg F (Gas mark 4 or 180 deg C) and grease two 9 in (23 cm) cake tins.


2. Using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar on medium speed until creamy, approximately 5 minutes.


3. Add one egg at a time, mix well between each.


4. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and vanilla extract and mix well. Then add coffee and mix well.


5. Divide into two equal portions and transfer to the cake tins.


6. Bake at 350 degrees until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, approximately 35-45 minutes. Let the cakes cool.


7. Slice each cake through the middle to make altogether four layers; if necessary remove the top of the cake by using a knife.


Variations





1. You may substitute the hot coffee with hot water.


2. You may add one teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the cake mixture for a hint of spice.


Make this cake in a 9*13 inch pan. for a bih ho ho cake


2 T Cornstarch





1 c Milk





1 c Sugar





1/2 c Shortening





1/2 c Butter, softened





1 t Vanilla





1/2 c Plus 2 T melted butter





6 T Baking cocoa





3 c Confectioner's sugar





1 Egg





2 1/2 T Hot water





1 t Vanilla





1. Combine the milk and cornstarch in a saucepan, and cook over medium





heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Set aside and let cool at room temperature. 2. Prepare the cake as per directions for a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake.





3. Cream sugar, shortening, and butter in a mixing bowl until light and





fluffy. Add 1 tsp vanilla, and milk mixture. Spread over warm cake; let cool completely! 4. Combine melted butter and cocoa in a bowl; mix well. Add confectioners

HO-HO CAKE





1 pkg. Duncan Hines devil's food cake


2 sm. pkgs. chocolate instant pudding


1/2 c. Crisco oil


1 1/4 c. water


4 eggs





Mix and bake in greased and floured jelly roll pan or 11';x15'; half sheet pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. When cool, make filling.





FILLING:





1/2 c. Crisco


1/2 c. butter


1/2 c. milk


1 tsp. vanilla


3 c. powdered sugar





Cream Crisco and butter. Add milk and vanilla. Mix well. Add sugar and beat until fluffy, 5 to 10 minutes. Spread on cooled cake. Place in refrigerator until set.





FROSTING:





3/4 c. powdered cocoa


1 stick melted butter


3 tbsp. hot water


1 egg


3 c. powdered sugar


1/2 tsp. vanilla





Beat until smooth. If too thick add more hot water until spreading consistency. Ice cake quickly (1/4 cake at a time) as icing hardens very fast.


NOTE: Requires 2 pound box of powdered sugar and requires much will power to only eat one piece
