What is the RECIPE for CRUMB TOPPING like for coffee cake???

1/4 cup granulated sugar


1/3 cup light brown sugar, lightly packed


1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg


1/4 pound (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted


1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour








Combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Stir in the melted butter and then the flour. Mix well and set aside.





With your fingers, crumble the topping evenly over the batter. Bake.What is the RECIPE for CRUMB TOPPING like for coffee cake???

1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)


1/4 cup butter, room temperature


1 teaspoon cinnamon





In small mixing bowl, combine topping ingredients. Blend with fork until crumbly.

1/4 cup flour


3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed


1/4 teaspoon salt


1/2 cup chopped pecans


1/4 cup butter, room temperature





Mix together flour, sugar, salt and chopped pecans. Add butter in small pieces. Work butter in with hands until mixture is crumblyWhat is the RECIPE for CRUMB TOPPING like for coffee cake???
Topping:


1/2 cup brown sugar


1/4 cup sifted all-purpose flour (sift before measuring)


1/4 cup butter, room temperature


1 teaspoon cinnamon


Topping. In small mixing bowl, combine topping ingredients. Blend with fork until crumbly. Set aside.
you just mix some flour with cinnamon and sugar (brown is best)...then mix in some butter until it crumbles.


1/2 cup flour + 1/4 cup brown sugar + cinnamon to taste
