Pineapple Peach Dump Cake

From Barbara Whiting,

A dump cake is an easy way to make a quick dessert for your family. You put fruit on the bottom of a baking dish, ';dump'; the dry cake mix over the fruit, and drizzle with melted margarine.

INGREDIENTS:

1 15 ounce can sliced peaches in syrup

1 20 ounce can crushed pineapple

1 package yellow cake mix

1-2 cubes margarine, melted

PREPARATION:

Pour the peaches and pineapple (with liquid) into a 9 x 12 inch baking dish. Sprinkle the cake mix (right from the box) over the fruit. Drizzle with enough melted margarine to lightly cover all the cake mix.

Bake according to box directions or until brown.Anyone have a recipe that uses a white cake mix and pineapples and peaches?
Peach Pineapple Crumble Cake

Ingredients:

2-Cans (approx. 20 oz. each) of Peach Pie Filling

Can (approx. 20 oz.) crushed pineapple

Small can coconut (3.5 oz.)

White or Yellow Cake Mix

2 sticks of margarine

Crushed pecans

Instructions:

In a lightly greased 9” x 11” pan, spread the peach pie filling in an even layer. Next, place the crushed pineapple (juice and all) as the next layer. Spread the coconut evenly over the two previous layers. Spread the dry cake mix (do not add anything to it at this point) as the next even layer. Melt 2 sticks of margarine in a sauce pan; pour and spread as evenly as possible on top of the cake mix layer. Finally, apply crushed pecans (approx. 1 cup or more to taste) to the top. Place in a preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour (top should be a golden brown).

This is a yummy dessert - happy eating!
Dump cake, but I use canned cherry pie filling and add chopped walnuts on top
Look up recipes for pinapple upside down cake and use pinapples mixed w/ peaches on the bottom instead of just pinapples.
Mix the peaches, pineapple, and melted butter together. Pour on the bottom of a cast iron pan. Mix up the cake mix and pour on top of the fruit. Bake at 350-375 until done. I am a ';dump cook'; so I rarely measure time. I just cook whatever until it is done.

I don't know if you are wanting a particular one...but if you would dice your peaches and pineapple (reserve the pineapple juice)...put it in the bottom of a standard glass cake pan (lighty buttered on bottom)...sprinkle with brown sugar...dot with butter...make your cake mix as normal, substituting the pineapple juice for the water...add water if necessary...pour on peaches/pineapple mixture...bake as normal....Enjoy!
I don't know this particular recipe, but as an option I offer my ';secret'; recipe: drain the pineapple or peaches %26amp; save the juice. Follow the directions on the back of the cake mix, but use the fruit juice in place of water (you can add a little water if you don't have enough juice. I also add one package of strawberry jello, and one teaspoon vanilla. Cake mixes usually say to add eggs and vegetable oil, too. Do that and mix, then add the drained pineapple or peaches. Bake as directed. If you need a great recipe for a frosting I can give you that, too. I call it a Tropical Cake %26amp; everyone loves it.
