Does any have a recipe for Dutch Honey Cake???

3 1/2 cups flour


1 Tbsp baking powder


1 tsp baking soda


2 tsp cinnamon


1/2 tsp cloves


1/2 tsp allspice


1 cup vegetable oil (substitute some applesauce or yogurt)


1 cup honey


1 1/2 cups granulated sugar


3 eggs


1 cup coffee


3/4 cup orange juice





Combine first 6 ingredients in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly with wire whisk or on low speed of electric miixer (batter will be thin). Spread batter in greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 350掳F for 55-65 minutnes, or until cake tester inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool 20 minutes in pan, then remove to wire rack and cool completely. TIP: prepare a day ahead to let flavours mellow.Does any have a recipe for Dutch Honey Cake???

1/2 c. margarine (or butter)


1/2 c. granulated sugar


1 c. golden syrup (I use Roger's Golden)


2 eggs


1 1/2 c. hot water


2 tsp. baking soda


1 tbsp. molasses


3 c. flour


1 tsp. cinnamon


1 tsp. ground cloves


1 tsp. powdered ginger


1/2 tsp. nutmeg


1/2 tsp. salt


1/2 tsp. baking powder





Cream margarine (butter) with sugar, syrup and eggs. Mix water, b.soda, and molasses. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add wet and dry ingredients alternately to the creamed mixture. Bake in a greased/floured loaf tin in a pre-heated oven at 300 degrees F. for about an hour or until it tests done.
